NALOXONEAT HOME

Accessibility

This page is read by people in a hurry, on old phones, sometimes while frightened. It is built for that.

We build to WCAG 2.1 AA. In practice that means: every colour pairing on this site clears AA at body size, every control other than a link inside a sentence is at least 44 pixels tall, every form field has a real label and its error message is announced to a screen reader, the whole site works from the keyboard with a visible focus ring, and nothing moves unless you ask it to.

There is no video that autoplays, no carousel, no modal that traps you, and no cookie banner — because there are no tracking cookies to consent to. The two training videos are optional, are not required to reserve a kit, and the same five steps are written out on How to Use for anybody who cannot or would rather not watch them.

You never need this website to get a naloxone kit. Every pharmacy in Ontario taking part in the Ontario Naloxone Program can hand you one over the counter, free, with no prescription and no health card. If this site does not work for you, that is our failure and not a barrier to a kit.

If any of this is not true for you, tell us at info@naloxoneathome.ca and we will fix it. We will also give you the information in another format on request, at no charge, as the AODA requires.
